Please note that the entering the post code given for Southlands Leisure Centre into a satnav will take you to Endeston Road where there is no vehicle access to car parking.  The vehicle entrance to the site is from the mini roundabout on Ormesby Road.

By Car

Coming from the South (A1M):
At the end of the A1M northbound take the A168 at junction 49 (Dishforth) signposted for Teesside. Follow the A168 onto the A19 at Thirsk and continue north. As you approach Teesside, take the A174 eastbound at Thornaby. Follow signs for Marton and take the third junction onto the A172 (Marton Road) north bound.
As you take the slip road, move into the left hand lane and bear left at the traffic lights. On your left will be the Rudds Arms pub followed by St Cuthbert's Church. Further down Marton Road is a large park on the right. Continue northbound, move into the right hand lane and turn right at the traffic lights at the cross roads onto Ladgate Lane, again with the park on the right.
Follow the road past the park and under a rail bridge, passing the entrance to Ormesby Hall, a national trust property on the right. Continue past a junction on the left with Overdale Road. Take the next left turn onto Ormesby Road and continue north until you come to a mini roundabout. Turn right into the entrance of the Southlands Leisure Centre.
Free public parking is available at the front of the building near the football pitches.  Traders should also wait in this area on arrival until instructed by stewards so that any early morning disturbance to local residents is kept to a minimum.

From the North (A19)
Follow the A19 south bound past turn offs to Hartlepool, Billingham, Norton and Stockton. As you approach the Tees flyover, follow sign posts for Middlesbrough, take the slip road and join the A66 eastbound. Follow the direction below for travel from the West
From the West (A66)

Follow the A66 eastbound through central Middlesbrough passing the iconic transporter bridge on your left.  Middlesbrough Football Club's Riverside Stadium will also be visible ahead of you and to the left but you will need o turn off before you pass it.

Continue past the junction for the Town Centre and take the next slip road signposted A172 for Stokesley and North Ormesby. Follow the slip road to a roundabout and turn left across a railway bridge onto the A1085 Longlands Road, a short stretch of dual carriageway passing Mecca Bingo on your left. Move into the right hand lane and turn right onto Ormesby Road at the traffic lights by the Buccaneer pub. Travel south bound on Ormesby Road passing Pallister Park on the left and Morrisons supermarket on the right.

Continuing down Ormesby Road, you will pass the Unity City Academy on your left. At the next mini roundabout turn left into the entrance of the Southlands Leisure Centre.

From the East (Whitby and the Moors)
Follow the A171 across the North York Moors past Guisborough and along the Middlesbrough Road to the roundabout near Nunthorpe at the top of Ormesby bank. Turn right at the roundabout and drive down the hill passing the Pied Piper pub on your right just before crossing over the A174 Parkway. Continue on to the roundabout at the bottom or Ormesby bank. Turn left onto Ladgate Lane passing a petrol station on your left and the Fountain pub on your right. Continue along Ladgate Lane and take the third turning on the right onto Ormesby Road and continue north until you come to a mini roundabout. Turn right into the entrance of the Southlands Leisure Centre.

By train
Leaving Middlesbrough Station by the main entrance, turn right and walk to the entrance to the car park. Crossing Zetland Road, walk under the A66 flyover, across Wilson Street and onto Linthorpe Road. Follow Linthorpe Road past Marks and Spencer on the right, Burger King and Next on the left and turn right at Debenhams onto Corporation Road. Continue along Corporation Road until you come to the bus station on the left.

By bus
Take the number 9 bus from Middlesbrough Bus Station which goes past the Ormesby Road entrance to Southlands Leisure Centre. Ask the driver to let you know when to get off.
